About

Annemarie Hartnett lives in Eastern Canada, where she spends most of her day contemplating pirates, evil (horny) monks, and their various victims.

She has a degree in English, a tool she found invaluable in the years following university that she spent stuffing envelopes and answering phones as a temp. When a career counsellor implied that she try writing, she took this suggestion completely the wrong way and wrote porn. Her first publication, Left in the Dark, appeared in Torquere Press's Off the Vine publication in 2006. She didn't have the heart to tell the career counsellor about this turn of events.

She is a regular contributor to Oysters & Chocolate Erotic with stories such as My Heroes and Midday Ruckus, and in 2009 her short story What Wind is to Fire appeared in the Ravenous Romance vampire anthology, Bites of Passion. She has a novella coming out in January 2010.

Currently she is pretending to work on several projects, but is probably talking dirty on Twitter.
